My last day at Physiotherapy

I didn't go to the physiotherapist for two weeks in this new year, because the first week of January I had an appointment with the company doctor and then a week later, my therapist would go on vacation on winter sports.
I noticed that I did very well on my own those two weeks.
So today he asked a thorough question about what I want to do the upcoming sessions, if I'm going to continue or stop the therapy. I suspect that he already knew that he has done all he could for me and the progression was extremely good, but that it was up to me to make a decision for continuing or leaving the therapy sessions.
I told him that I had given it a good thought already and that I'm doing quite well on my own and that it was time for me, to end the therapy as of today. He seemed content with the decision I made, so today was my last day at the physiotherapy. I told him that maybe I might need him again after the surgery that will be in May or June, but he mentioned that it's ok, but insisted that I can come, only when it is necessary, which is right.
I hope i won't need therapy at all and to be honest, since my recovery is going so well beyond anyone's expectations, I am quite sure I won't need therapy after the surgery 😊

I'm glad God gave me the opportunity in these last three months, to be trained by a very skilled professional for the recovery process of my ankle! 🍀🍀🍀

In memoriam: Aunt Irene

Sadly my aunt (the younger sister of my father) passed away after a long battle of cancer, just today. Thursday the family and friends will have a wake and Friday she will be buried (in Suriname). I trust that my aunt is saved and gone to heaven.  🙏🏾

What I really want...

...That is to start a new company in the country where a part of my ancestors come from. I'm born and raised in Europe, but I'd love to live in the continent where my parents are originally from. Especially since times and the mentality are changing in a positive in their country and also around the continent, the desire to flee away for good becomes more intense...

I'm fantasizing everyday to live there with my family very soon 😎

God will provide when it's His time!

Today was a great day for shopping. It was not raining, although it's cold, but the sun was shining very brightly. It gave me a chance to have a good exercise of walking today ;-)

My first physiotherapy session

Yesterday I got my first therapy session for my ankle/foot at home. I got some great tips and exercises from him to do, in order to improve and speeding up the healing process. Today I noticed a difference in the amount of stiffness/pain in my ankle: it has reduced slightly!

No more cast as of today

As of today I am cast free! No more cast after two whole months, I'm glad. Now the revalidating process has begun. As from next week, I'm getting the help of a physiotherapist at home. I hope for a speedy recovery :-)

Today is my birthday

Today is my birthday, but didn't celebrate it, because my leg is in a cast and also because I celebrated my birthday last year abundantly and also in 2016. So this year it's just my mom and I. My mom went to the city to buy a delicious Surinamese dinner for later!
